Camping is a holiday that can provide many different experiences, and the chance to meet a lot of new people from different backgrounds, with these people will all have hobbies and interests in common. These camping holidays can be family based, friends or as couples, and provide a chance to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the French countryside, these camping holidays can vary from self-catering to catering both with positives and negatives. Camping holidays can range from sleeping in a tent to staying in a caravan.
Camping holidays provide a freedom that other holidays do not provide, these are things like sleeping and waking up in the wilderness, having the quiet and relaxing nature of been in the countryside, while other holidays could be in a city, were it is busy and noisy.
These holidays can provide different experiences for different people, there is the chance of visiting places that other tourists do not see, a chance for children to be out in the countryside instead of just been on a beach or in the middle of a city, and for older people a chance to relax in an area that is much more quieter than other holiday destinations. These holidays also provide a chance for people to experience the French culture, rather than just going on a package holiday, in which the area provides a more British background.
When camping however certain equipment is necessary, this equipment is items like, sleeping bag, a tent (if needed), a gas stove or barbeque if the holiday is a catering holiday, a freezer box to preserve food and other equipment people might see as important.
Camping holidays are also much cheaper than a normal package holiday, but just as enjoyable, and in the current financial problem the world is in at the moment, these holidays can provide a great chance to experience these types of holidays instead of the trade mark holiday’s people go on.
